Ostrich ink have been made in Tianjin since 1935. Many say they are the inventors of the pigmented ink that is used widely today.

This is the four-symbol series of inks. Each symbol represents a guardian spirit of each direct (North, East South and West). In the Chinese culture, this represents protection from evil.

Iron Gall inks will darken over time. This will vary depending on paper and pen width.

Ostrich inks are safe for all fountain pens.

These inks are very difficult to find available outside of Tianjin and difficult to import.
