Conklin Nozac Piston Fountain Pen, Ohio Blue
Conklin's original Nozac ('no sac') piston-filling fountain pen was first produced in 1931, but had disappeared from the market by 1938. It was advertised as the pen that winds like a watch, as the end button was turned in order to draw ink up into the pen.
It hasn't actually changed much in terms of mechanics, but Conklin has used modern technology and production methods to create a pen that is stylish in its simplicity, with beautiful marble-effect barrel finishes.
The Ohio Blue barrel features shades of blue, turquoise and grey, and is stamped 'Conklin Nozac - Made in Italy'. Chrome-plated grip area, cap and barrel ends. Cap features a magnetic closure. Chrome-plated rocker pocket clip is inscribed with 'Conklin'. Twist the end of the barrel anti-clockwise in order to empty, and then draw up ink by turning clockwise.
