Diplomat Aero Flame Diplomat writing instruments have been crafted using traditional methods since 1922. The wide-bodied Aero is a popular for its industrial design with vintage style. Diplomat adds a new and fascinating design element with the Aero Flame. Instead of aluminum (like the original Aero), the Flame is crafted in stainless steel to give the pen more weight and durability.
The flame effect is created by hand using a blowtorch – a time-consuming process because of the pen’s large size and the grooved surface. Each one is unique – no two pens will be exactly alike. Clear lacquer is applied to protect the surface and add sheen. A matte black clip adds edgy appeal.
